Yesterday was her first time to sit in a high chair at a restaurant. We still don't have a shopping cart cover, so we wrapped the moby around the chair to keep her safe from all of it's wonderful germs.
She ate her Mum mums, which she loves (thank you Aunt Renae.)
She tried Aunt Rebecca's avocado for the first time. She took a few good bites before starting to make faces.
She drank out of her sippy cup straw (and actually sucked water up) for the first time.
And she had an impromptu photo session with Aunt Becca on the lawn at the fun restaurant we went to.
Some of the other new things in her life include...
Visiting the great State Fair of Texas
Spending two days a week with Grandfather while I work for my old boss.
Still scooting backwards and turning in circles really well, but not moving forward at all yet.
Has attended the 5-8 month nursery class at Gateway church in Southlake for the past two weeks. Her first time at Gateway was her first time ever in a nursery and she's done really well (even better than I expected) and the ladies say she's such a sweetheart. She hasn't cried yet and I'm hoping this trend lasts!
Sitting up pretty well now
Visiting the Great Pumpkin Festival at the Dallas Arboretum
Has learned that she can whine in different octaves to communicate her displeasure
Clicks her tongue when she's happy and when someone clicks their tongue at her
Has taken a new interest in her Glow worm doll
The foods we (yes, I mean WE) have tried so far are...
rice cereal
oatmeal
carrots
sweet potatoes
pears
winter squash
banana
avocado
Banana-flavored Mum Mum rice husk cookies
Earth's Best Wheat Biter Biscuits
Every day is new and interesting and it is an incredible joy for me to be here to watch her learn and grow.
Happy Birthday to ME!
I'm glad that Lei is doing so well in the nursery! Bug is still having issues in that department.
