Guest Blogger: Labor Day

Howdy folks! I figured that since Michele didn't have her camera with her for our Labor Day lunch at The Oasis, I'd upload some of the pictures I took. So enjoy!

This is Leila's Auntia Nina (mine and Michele's older sister). She is 26 weeks pregnant with Leila's cousing Jaxon and we're all veryyy excited.

Leila's daddy, Ryan, took her out to feed the ducks. Leila was a little more into eating the bread herself though.

This little guy was our favorite duck. He's sporting quite the 'do.

Little Leila is veryyy good at identifying airplanes and cars by their sounds. This was right after Leila heard an airplane flying overhead and she started looking for it.

She tried REALLY hard to find the plane. Problem was, our patio has a roof...

Then Leila's Nan brought out a bottle of bubbles she bought for Leila to keep her entertained while dessert finished baking.

We sure did enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather and the opportunity for our whole family to get together for lunch during the week. Hope you all had a great Labor Day too!

Guest Blogger

As most (or at least some) of you know, Michele is very busy these days. Her cake business is taking off like crazy and she is working a few days a week for her old boss. Between that and being the world's best mommy to Leila, she has not had too much time to blog. So I (Rebecca) am posting this edition of the Daily Krannon.

During the summer, Michele and Leila got to go swimming at Christina's pool a lot. On this particular day, all four of us Kracht girls were there to watch Leila splish and splash.

Leila LOVES walking back and forth across the pool step, spending time with each of her duckies along the way.

After pool time was over, Michele put on Leila's cover up and Crocs and let her loose to roam. Lucky for us, there was a camera available to capture the cuteness.

See? What did I tell you? Cuteness.

Well, I know Michele has a lot more pictures from that day, but these are the only four I kept for myself. So I hope that they were enough for you all to get your Leila fix for a bit.  Until next time!

The Little Gym

We had our first trip to The Little Gym with our friends Monica and Nolan this summer. Nolan, true to form, was in fantastic spirits and had a wonderful time! He's such a happy baby and a real charmer.

Leila, however, was tired and hungry, which did not add up to a good first impression.
The only thing that really seemed to bring anything other than tears were the bouncy balls that were brought out.

She's normally so happy and this was the first time I've seen her so cranky.

Doesn't she look tired?

Of course, tired or not, I had to take some pictures.

I'm hoping that The Little Gym will let us have one more free trial to try for a more successful trip!

Summer Fun

We've had fun so far this summer. Leila has played with her "Fancy Nancy" backpack that she got from her Deedee for her birthday.
She's still not too sure about wearing a backpack.
But it looks cute on her!

We've played with her hairstyles. Here she is sporting the Bieber...

We've had many playdates, one with "Aunt" Alyssa who had the pleasure of reading with Leila.
Leila loves books and will bring them up and ask you to "deed it" to her.

Leila has also had several dress-up sessions. During this one, she was displaying her fine jewelry - a necklace, two bracelets, and her purse.
Is she a girl or what?!

Thank heaven for little girls... and for great-grandparents!

We are so blessed to live near our family. Not only are we surrounded by both sets of Leila's grandparents and her aunts and uncles, but we also live very close to her Great-Grandma and Papa Watson.
It's so special that Leila is getting a chance to know them.

Great-granparents are so much fun!

They love Leila so much.

And she loves them!

Leila's First Bedroom

We moved about a month ago, and had to leave Leila's first bedroom behind. It made me very sad, so we made sure to take pictures of it before we left. :(

I only painted this about a month before we moved. It was so hard to see it painted over.

I painted these branches to match Leila's crib bedding.

I made this wreath for her door.

Better Late than Never

Well, it took me forever to get this posted, but I couldn't not put up some pictures of Leila's first birthday party.
We had decorations galore!
I had been planning this party and making things for it since Leila was only a few months old!

Since I was in school, Aunt Becca was nice enough to help us make these fun face cards.

Leila was all dressed up in a tutu and shirt I had made her...

It's crazy to think that she couldn't walk independently just a few short months ago!

We had yummy food and lots of fun presents...
We had a make-your-own-trailmix bar.

She loved her cake!

She got a fun Fancy Nancy backpack from her Deedee.

A special book of Mother Goose nursery rhymes by Mary Engelbreit from our friend Katelyn. We got her mommy the same book for her baby shower before Katelyn was even born, and they were sweet enough to get us one!

A Leila-sized rocking chair from her Aunt Christina and Uncle Jesse...

And a Big Olivia doll from me and Ryan, among other fantastic things.

Even though it's really late, thank you to everybody who came and made it so special!
