Costumed Birthday Party

We went to a costumed birthday party on Sunday afternoon for our friend Madison.
I wasn't quite finished making Leila's costume, and I'd been so busy working on cakes. So, we decided to buy her a costume just to wear to the party. And it was so warm, I wanted to make sure and get one that wouldn't give her a heatstroke.
So, Leila went as a flower fairy.

There were many other costumes represented at the party.
The birthday girl came as Alice from Alice in Wonderland.
There was also a monkey.
He and Leila were born just a few days apart and they got along well.

Take a look at all of the costumes we saw!

They had balloons...
and a table set up for a tea party...
and a Mad Hatter cake (made by me) for this very special occasion.
(Leila didn't get to eat any of it, but she really enjoyed her mum mums.)
It was so much fun to see all of the kids in their costumes and we had a great time.

Happy Birthday Madison! Thanks for inviting us to your party!
